A classic safari covering Tanzania’s most famous parks, offering a complete introduction to the country’s wildlife and landscapes.
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. The drive takes about an hour, passing through local communities and lush surroundings. After check-in, you have time to relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, your guide will provide a safari briefing and answer any questions you may have.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you depart for Tarangire National Park. The journey takes approximately three hours, offering views of rural Tanzania along the way. Once inside the park, you begin a full-day game drive exploring its diverse habitats. Tarangire is particularly known for its large elephant population and scenic landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees. During your game drive, you may also encounter lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of bird species. A picnic lunch is enjoyed within the park before continuing your exploration in the afternoon. Later, you exit the park and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will stop at a viewpoint overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The journey continues across the highlands and into the Serengeti plains, where wildlife sightings begin even before reaching your camp. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti, spotting lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of grazing animals. As the sun sets over the plains, you arrive at your camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Serengeti to Arusha
You will start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to observe predators while they are still active. After breakfast at the camp, you begin your journey back to Arusha, enjoying en-route wildlife viewing through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro areas. A picnic lunch is taken along the way. You will arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon where your safari concludes.
